I always thought the TV show was a little silly, though after watching what is on the table, I’ve decided to put in an application for one of my best girlfriends, writes Ursula Melhem.
The wind bites the dust in yet another season of The Bachelor.
The latest being, a 34 year old Perth beauty, Snezana Markoski winning Sam Woods’ heart.
Sam Woods, based in Melbourne and born in Tasmania, is a personal trainer who started Australia’s first kids’ gym; Gecko Sports.
Snezana, a proud mother and Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology Student, came onto the show after her daughter Eve encouraged her to search for love; “once in a lifetime opportunity.”
Snezana has admitted post-show that she is continuously falling in love more and more as time passes.
Sam found himself opening up to Snezana in a way he never knew he was capable of; “like I never thought I would and never have before in my life.” The reason he was able to accomplish this was because of his ‘certain[ty]’ about the decision to whisk her away in the life of the normal – coupled with how strongly he felt about her. Four months later, and still going strong, he knows he has “absolutely made the right decision.”
35 year old Woods presented Markoski with a diamond ring amidst realising he was falling love with her; a symbol of his commitment to her alongside her daughter Eve.
“You make me a better man. I want to spoil you and I want to look after you forever and I totally understand that it doesn’t just mean looking after you… I know it means looking after Eve” – Sam.
Eve, also highly-acknowledged and favoured by Sam, acquired a necklace with a heart pendant in the finale episode of The Bachelor which was given to Markoski. Sam recognised whole-heartedly that Eve was the fairy behind the romance noting to Snezana, “Eve made you come on this, she pushed you… I will forever be in her debt.”

The show is definitely not shy of tough times, it comes down to the risk you’re willing to take, hopefully my dear friend won’t be sharing my head on a silver platter next time she’s out and about…
Let’s wish her all the best of luck.
