23 year old Julian Maroun breaks glass ceilings with a remarkable nomination for the annual event of the 59th Logie Awards
in the capacity of ‘Best New Talent’ for his work on the Australian crime drama series which featured on SBS this year, Deep Water.
With roles and appearances in Catching Milat, Cleverman (ABC), Gods of Egypt – and due to appear in ABC’s Janet
King television series – under his belt, he has impressed Aussie audiences nationwide through his personable and appeasing performances.
Julian champions the roles of twins, Amir and Haris Rexhaj, on the show. Based around real life hate murders
of 80 gay men, 30 unsolved cases, and thousands of assaults in the 1980s and 1990s that encapsulated Sydney’s coastal eastern suburbs, the show has also been nominated in the category of ‘Best Drama Program’ against an exciting lineup of quality competition.
